In an interview with in.gr, our researcher Kostas Gourzis referred to the results of a recent study conducted as part of the project (which you can find here https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/publication\/395027887_The_impact_of_short-term_rental_markets_on_the_neighborhoods_of_Athens_and_Thessaloniki), on how long-term rental markets and short-term rental markets \u2013 Airbnb \u2013 are spatially related. The most basic findings indicate that short-term rentals are linked to rising rent prices. Specifically, for every 100 new listings of homes on short-term rental platforms in an area or neighbourhood, the rent price increases by 2%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
