Going beyond documenting the current situation, the workshop aims at fostering a discussion that will explore effective strategies for the benefit of workers. <\/span><\/p><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">The keynote speaker of the workshop will be Andrew Herod, Distinguished Professor of Labour Geography at the University of Georgia. Additional key speakers include Nikos Vrantsis from the Tenants Union of Thessaloniki, Vassilis Gerodimos from the E-food Union, and Yannis Zafeiriou, Head of Lesvos\u2019s Labour Centre. Short interventions will be made by Michalis Poulimas, Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology at the University of the Aegean; Ioannis Chorianopoulos, Professor at the Department of Geography at the University of the Aegean; and Stella Ganoti from the Union of Workers in Catering and Tourism Occupations in Lesvos. The event will be introduced by the Project\u2019s Scientific Coordinator, Stelios Gialis, Professor at the Department of Geography at the University of the Aegean, and will be coordinated by journalist Anthi Pazianou. Postdoctoral researcher Kostas Gourzis will present key findings of the Project on touristification trends in Greece and the EU.<\/span><\/p><p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">The workshop will take place on <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><b>Wednesday 5 March 2025 <\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">from <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><b>17:00 to 19:30<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\">, in <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><b>Room C of the Department of Geography at the University of the Aegean<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"> in Mytilene.
